You may recognize Andrew and Tara from their AMAZING New York engagement shoot here. And you may remember reading the story about how Tara single-handedly made all of my dreams come true here.
But today is the day that you get to see them get married! This wedding was special in so many ways. Many of them personal to me. I’ve yet to find someone as caring and thoughtful as Tara Copeland. From little things like booking my hotel room and inviting my husband to come, to big things like sending me hilarious daily emails for the past year, and talking me through the darkest winter of my life after I had the miscarriage with my first pregnancy. She has truly become a dear, lifelong friend to me, and i can’t believe i never would have met her if not for her finding me to do her wedding photography. Oh great, I’m crying now…..
So being emotionally invested in Tara and Andrew, it made this whole wedding day all the more meaningful to me. I’ve never laughed harder at any other wedding, and oh good lord, I was balling all the way through their ceremony. I’m shocked I got anything at all through my streaming tears. But at least I wasn’t alone, everyone was crying.
I blame Tara’s adorable grandmother whose 65th anniversary with her late huband was that same day. Tara and Andrew had a special tribute her as Tara’s ” ‘mo of honor” (yah, you heard me), Kenneth ( a beautiful man with a beautiful voice) sang their wedding song. Oh man. It was heartbreakingly wonderful.
And then there was the wedding details themselves!!! The whole thing couldn’t have been more Tara and Andrew. Bright happy colors, small children in tutus, snow-cones, the most epic candy buffet anyone has ever seen (made by the bride’s wonderful momma), parasols, mustaches on sticks!
If I had to pick a theme, I’d call it “pure joy”.
I also got to do the stationary and all the little graphic signs and things you see throughout.
Take a look. Fall in love with them. And especially enjoy the photo of my husband busting a move. He’s an epic dancer and a bada$$ second shooter, too. I was a proud wifey that day.
Love it! Spoken for I bet 😉
Love the Arkansas moonshine!!!
I am crying and I’ve done nothing but look at these all week. I love it so much, Katie, and I love you.
