DIY: Campbell Soup (Warhol) Toy Cans & Free Printable!

Any Art-History nerds out there? Just me….okay, fine. My husband has been asking me why I’ve been saving these empty coffee-cans for months now. I kept telling him: “I’ll think of something.” Well… I DID!

My favorite art era has always been Pop Art, the king of which (of course) is Andy Warhol. So I decided to bring his famous soup-cans to life in Callie’s retro play kitchen. I scoured the internet to see if there were any vector soup can labels already and found nothing. So my fail is your gain, because I made some for everyone!!!!!!

Click here to download the PRINTABLE multi-page pdf.

If you can cut paper, then you can do this! Tips: I always use a xacto and cutting mat to get a perfect line. Also, I used clear packing tape to makes sure it doesn’t come off the can. I also used glossy photo paper. You could choose to laminate the label by wrapping it in packing tape. I may decide to do that later, we’ll see how rough she is on them. (Of course, you can also just print them again!)

Callie ran into her room and shouted “WOAHH!!!!!!” SO I think that means she approves. Her great-grandmother made her this apron for her First Birthday. I about died!!!

And just so you know I’m officially on Pinterest. I don’t know what took me so long. It’s wonderful. Follow Me. I’ll follow you. We’ll walk around in circles. http://pinterest.com/katiedayphoto/

Very good. Your child is adorable and the coffee cans with labels are super great. Wish I were still teaching so that I could teach the kids about Andy and the soup cans.

    Hello,

First, THANK YOU for making these and making them available. They are going to be perfect for making centerpieces for my daughters Pop Art Campbell’s Soup-themed 1st Birthday party!

I am having trouble finding an invitation design that fits with our theme and I was wondering if you may be able to share this file in an editable form so I could add details using the same fonts and background.

    Thanks so much.

    Merritt
