Addie & Harper Harris

The first time I photographed little Addie, she was three, now she’s EIGHT! (side note: Erica always NAILS family photo outfits, take note, friends! Start with one patterned outfit, then pull colors out for everyone else. Perfecto!) (Also: It’s  Chad & Erica’s TEN year wedding anniversary, so we went to the same mural where they took wedding photos. awwww)

I love it! It’s so important to have these images of marriages 10 years on. I often wonder what happens to all the young brides and grooms with perfect wedding photos. Celebrating marriage is something that should never stop!

The Mystery Hour – Springfield MO’s late night talk show!

I’m so excited that Season Three of The Mystery is finally ALL on youtube! Joining the sketch-writing team this year has been one of the most hilarious, fun, rewarding experiences of my life! Here is my very first sketch I’ve ever written along with the talented Sarah Jenkins. It’s about what it’s like to 30 and married versus 30 and single. To see The Mystery Hour on your tv, set your DVRs for FOX KRBK Saturdays at 9:00pm! Or come see a taping at the historic Gillioz theatre on First Fridays. Starting again in September!

Stephanie & Patrick : Married! Van Noy Mansion, Kansas City, MO

Siiigh. Stephanie was my best friend in high school. We actually began our best friendship by me creepily saying “You’re funny! I think I want to be best friends with you.” And when our lockers were randomly assigned next to each other, I shouted “BEST FRIENDS!!!! It’s inevitable now.” And every time we’d pass in the hall, I’d whisper “Hey best friend….” So free life tip: if you just tell someone that they are your best friend enough, IT WILL COME TRUE! Stephanie is really just the best. She’s hilarious, gorgeous, witty, and she’s girl-drama-free, so she’s kind of like a dude. In the BEST way. And THEN she found Patrick who gained my 100% full approval about .3 seconds after meeting him. He’s THE most chill, go-with-the-flow guy. Put them together and you get the most PEACEFUL, joyful, mellow of wedding days. In fact, they were so chill that the weather even decided to chill out. It was a delightfully cool June evening!

Enjoy this classic, lovely, gorgeous wedding!

Lacy’s Camping Themed Baby Shower Brunch with Donut Bar

I married into THE world’s most creative family. Jared’s sisters and momma have some serious style, so throwing a baby shower with them is a dream. Lacy & Dustin love camping in the great outdoors, so we decided to bring that theme to life for this woodsy, camping baby shower. Lacy’s biggest pregnancy craving has been St. George’s donuts, so putting together a donut bar was an idea that everyone (especially this preggo) could definitely get behind! We also made the guests cut and paste together Dustin and Lacy’s baby photos to predict what they’re future child would look like. Lacy chose the winner of the creepiest as well as the cutest. Though personally, I think they all tied for creepy. And since they are not finding out gender, we forced Lacy into one of the old classic gender prediction games which resulted in the fact that Lacy is DEFINITELY having either a boy or a girl. (The ring both swung and circled, I don’t know what to tell you…twins?)

Just in case you missed their maternity photos (aka my favorite maternity session of all time!!!) make sure you click here too!

Shameless husband plug: He built that rocking horse for his sister. With his bare hands. Well and tools, probably.
