Some of the ad girls and i went to see this at the Moxie. It’s a documentary about advertising, inspiration, and courage to produce more than what a client would settle for. It celebrates the ad heros who dared to venture beyond safe, and brings a face to the people behind “Just do it”, “Think Different”, “Got Milk?”, ” I Love NY”, and many more.

Moreover, it’s my day job. If you’ve ever wondered what I do from 8-5, when I’m not behind the lens, this is it. Okay, it’s a little more glorified in the movie. But it truly was inspiring. Challenging me to find the truth, connect with people, and be honest to the audience. It makes the distinction between credible advertising vs crap.
And most inspring of all, it tells about how great work isn’t just conditional of the perfect agency…client…product; it can come from just a couple people who are truly amazing/talented.

If you get a chance, check it out. Here’s the trailer.
